Miss Scarlet to End with Seventh Season; Filming Begins on Six-Episode Farewell
MASTERPIECE PBS has announced that Miss Scarlet will conclude with a seventh and final season. Filming has officially begun in Serbia on the six-episode farewell chapter, which will wrap up Eliza Scarlet’s long-running journey after six seasons of mysteries, romance, and trailblazing detective work.
The series stars Kate Phillips as Eliza Scarlet alongside Tom Durant-Pritchard as Inspector Alexander Blake. Returning cast members include Paul Bazely as Clarence, Tim Chipping, Evan McCabe, Felix Scott, Cordelia Bugeja, and Ansu Kabia as Moses. Creator and writer Rachael New said, "Making Miss Scarlet has been the greatest joy of my professional career," praising the collaborative effort from the exec team to the Belgrade production and Dublin post teams.
She added that bringing Eliza’s story to a close was both emotional and rewarding. Kate Phillips called the role "one of the greatest joys of my career" and expressed gratitude for the character and the show’s run.
