Mod lets you play Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes inside The Phantom Pain
A player-made mod now lets you play Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes from inside Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Ground Zeroes originally arrived about a year before Phantom Pain as a compact prologue; Kojima said he split it off to give fans something, though many observers suspect Konami pressure played a role, especially since Phantom Pain felt unfinished at launch and Kojima departed Konami soon after.
Installing the mod requires Snakebite Mod Manager, the latest Infinite Heaven location and mission addon, the US Naval Prison Facility map, and ownership of both TPP and Ground Zeroes. After installation the Ground Zeroes mission appears on the iDroid mission list in the helicopter and can trigger automatically after Episode 1, effectively serving as a flashback.
The mod even adds fulton support, which was reportedly difficult because Ground Zeroes has ceiling collision issues not present in TPP.
