Modder restores Merchant Kalé's cut quest in Elden Ring
Modder Transquility on the Elden Ring Nexus has restored Merchant Kalé's NPC quest, bringing back cut early-game content that expands the vendor's role. Dataminer Sekiro Dubi revealed Kalé was at one point meant to be the driving force behind the hidden Frenzied Flame ending—the role occupied in the final game by "Shabriri Grapes" Hyetta.
Actor Nabil Elouahabi's datamined lines start Kalé as the affable merchant but devolve into despair and rage as he discovers how his people were wronged by Marika and her Golden Order, ultimately urging you to take up the Frenzied Flame. This quest more explicitly contextualizes the people found buried alive under Leyndell and offers a reason to pursue the Frenzied Flame beyond just "being evil" or completionist curiosity.
In conversation with Kalé, Melina's pleading not to meet the Three Fingers takes on a different cast as his rage and indignation undercut her optimistic humanism.
