Molly O'Shea: VC-turned-podcaster who interviews tech execs
Molly O'Shea built a large rolodex during several years in venture capital and now hosts Sourcery, a podcast and newsletter that has landed interviews with Palantir CEO Alex Karp, Anduril cofounder Palmer Luckey, and other high-profile tech leaders. Her VC background, she says, helps guests trust her and keeps conversations focused on what investors need to know rather than on combative questioning.
O'Shea studied studio art at New York University before shifting to entrepreneurship and venture capital. She began working for a family-office secondaries investor, moved to Miami, returned to New York as an analyst at the Global Public Offering Fund, and later joined TMV as an associate.
Sourcery started as an in-house newsletter at TMV, went public while she was at New York Life Ventures, and led to a role at Upfront Ventures that prompted a move to Los Angeles. The newsletter turned into a full-time podcast after periods of heavier posting and an invitation from the Turpentine network.
