Movieweb reports Apple TV+'s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will introduce a new oceanic Titan called Titan X in Season 2. The second season debuts on Apple TV on Friday, February 27, with episodes dropping weekly.

Season 1 featured Godzilla, the Ion Dragon, Frostbark, the insectile Endoswarmers, the mega boar Bramblebore, the humongous arachnid Mother Longlegs and King Kong, and the latest teaser trailer introduces Titan X, which executive producer Tory Tunnell told SFX Magazine "isn't like anything we've ever seen before on screen," a remark the report says slightly puts into question the giant octopus Oodako theory. Tunnell added that VFX supervisor Sean Konrad often draws on real deep-sea creatures when designing Titans, saying, "You think you're an educated human, and you know what creatures exist on this planet, and then suddenly Sean shows you things and you're like, 'Oh, my God, that's real? Where is that?'"

Star Wyatt Russell told Collider that "the mystery deepens" in Season 2, with more monsters arriving and relationships being ratcheted up; the season includes a two-year time jump that examines what happens between Monarch and Apex in the period leading up to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). Despite his character's apparent death in Season 1, Kurt Russell is also confirmed to return for Season 2.
