Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus is convinced Harry Kane will remain at the Allianz Arena and sign a contract extension, saying 'I don't believe he'll leave Bayern. Money isn't his top priority; it's feeling comfortable – with the coaches, his team-mates, and his family.' Kane has release clauses in his deal and any bids of £57 million would trigger an exit, but Matthaus pointed to the striker feeling settled in Bavaria with his wife Kate and their four children.

Bayern are confident fresh terms can be thrashed out. Sporting director Christoph Freund said: 'He still has a year-and-a-half left on his contract. He feels extremely comfortable here. We're not stressing about it. He should continue as he is and continue to feel so comfortable with his family in Munich.

Then he can stay in Munich for a long time.' Kane's current deal runs until the summer of 2027. Kane is focused on chasing more honours and records, with Robert Lewandowski's single-season Bundesliga mark of 41 goals in his sights.
