The fallout from Saturday's Derby d'Italia continued as former Inter president Massimo Moratti hit back at Juventus over their reaction to a contentious refereeing decision. Pierre Kalulu was given a second yellow after Alessandro Bastoni went down under light contact, a moment that sparked fury from the Turin side and dominated headlines.

Replays showed no clear contact, yet the referee booked Kalulu in the 42nd minute, leaving Juventus with 10 men while the score was 1-1. Inter later took the lead through Francesco Pio Esposito deep in the second half, Juventus levelled in the 83rd minute, and Piotr Zielinski struck a 90th-minute winner to restore Inter's eight-point lead at the top of Serie A.

Moratti criticised what he called exaggerated protests from Juventus, saying they were “playing the victim” and that simulations have become tiresome.
