Morgan Stanley filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for an Ethereum Trust, according to a filing on Tuesday.

The move follows separate filings submitted the same day for spot bitcoin (BTC $92,087.62) and solana (SOL $137.90) exchange-traded funds, amid a rapid expansion of crypto ETFs in the U.S. over the past two years.

Market observers say Morgan Stanley’s expanding route into crypto demonstrates a broader trend among traditional financial institutions increasingly seeking to offer digital asset products through familiar, regulated vehicles.

The bank had earlier opened crypto access to its clients in October via its wealth management arm.
