Morrowind-like RPG Dread Delusion heads to PS5, Xbox and Switch 2
The strange but excellent old-school RPG Dread Delusion, a game often compared to Morrowind for its weird mushroom trees and old-school sensibilities, is finally coming to modern consoles. It first hit Steam almost two years ago and has amassed nearly 4,000 user reviews, 90% of which give it the thumbs up for an average 'Very Positive' rating on the platform.
One player called it "the kind of game that invites you to explore, get lost, and to make morally grey decisions about what to do," adding that it reminded them of how it felt to play Morrowind for the first time. Dread Delusion is now coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime later in Spring, 2026.
There's no word yet on how much the console port will cost, but you can wishlist the game on both the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store for now. On Steam the description sets the tone: "The world is broken. Its surface seethes with an undead curse, while humanity clings to flying continents in the sky.
