Motorola unveiled its first book-style foldable smartphone, the Razr Fold, during Lenovo's Tech World showcase at CES 2026. The device uses a central hinge to open like a book rather than the clamshell design used on previous modern Razr models. The Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch cover display and an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO inner display, which ZDNET noted is larger than Google's Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Motorola detailed a triple 50MP rear camera array (main, ultrawide/macro, and a 3x periscope telephoto), a 32MP outer selfie camera, and a 20MP inner camera; ZDNET said the setup centers on a Sony LYTIA sensor with Dolby Vision support. The phone will support the Moto Pen Ultra and include AI tools such as Catch Me Up and Next Move.

Moto has kept many core specifications under wraps, ZDNET said, including chipset, battery size, charging details and full screen resolution. Motorola has not disclosed a release date or price, though ZDNET reported the Razr Fold is expected to arrive later this year and said the company could charge less than $1,000; the writer added they believe the new model may be more affordable than competing foldables but could also swing the other way without exact specs.

Motorola also announced a special FIFA World Cup 26 edition of the clamshell Razr with exclusive wallpapers, a custom ringtone using the tournament's theme and a FIFA watermark on photos.
