Motorola unveils Razr Fold with 8.1-inch inner screen at CES 2026
Motorola unveiled its first book-style foldable smartphone, the Razr Fold, at CES 2026 during Lenovo's Tech World showcase.
The Razr Fold has a 6.6-inch cover display and opens to reveal an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO inner screen, with a larger hinge that lets it open like a book similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7. Motorola disclosed few core specifications, but detailed the camera system: a triple 50MP rear array (main, ultrawide/macro, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens), a 32MP selfie camera above the outer display, and a 20MP lens above the inner screen. The company said the inner display is a "spacious canvas for work, creativity, and play," and noted support for the Moto Pen Ultra plus AI features such as Catch Me Up and Next Move. Motorola also announced a FIFA World Cup 26 special edition of the clamshell Razr with custom wallpapers, a tournament ringtone and a FIFA watermark on photos.
Many details remain undisclosed: Motorola has not shared chipset, battery, charging, full screen resolution, exact release date or price. ZDNET said the Razr Fold is expected to arrive later this year and suggested Motorola could price it below $1,000, but the outlet noted those points are uncertain without official specifications.
