Mythic Quest: Apple TV's Inventive, Heartfelt Workplace Comedy
Apple TV has become known for strong dramas and a quietly thriving half-hour comedy slate that includes Platonic, Shrinking, Trying and Loot. One of the streamer’s best sitcoms in recent years is Mythic Quest, a four-season series created by Charlie Day, Megan Ganz and Rob McElhenney that was cancelled in 2025.
The show blends absurd, specific humor with an ensemble cast and some of the most inventive sitcom episodes of its run. Mythic Quest follows the creative team behind a hugely popular multiplayer roleplaying game of the same name. The office includes executive producer David Brittlesbee (David Hornsby), head of monetization Brad Bakshi (Danny Pudi), testers Dana Bryant (Imani Hakim) and Rachel Meyee (Ashly Burch), creator and creative director Ian Grimm (Rob McElhenney) and lead engineer Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao).
Early on the studio prepares to launch a two-year expansion called Raven’s Banquet while Ian keeps insisting on last-minute tweaks.
