Mythmatch is an anti-capitalist, combat-free RPG built around merging
Mythmatch blends a merger game with an RPG set in Greek mythology, leaning into themes of anti-capitalism and altruism. It borrows the combine-to-upgrade mechanic common in mobile titles but presents it as a premium experience without ads or exploitative microtransactions.
You play a wannabe goddess, Artemis, who must prove herself to the inhabitants of Mount Olympus. After failing certain tasks she’s cast to the mortal realm by a snarky Hermes, and on Earth she uses her merging abilities to create the tools, items and treats villagers need.
Each day offers a return to Olympus to tackle an increasing number of challenges, each a different take on merging minigames. Gameplay centers on combining resources in groups of three to create higher-tier items. Much of the game is experimentation and organization: arranging incoming goods on shelves, watching chains of merges form new items, sending products to people’s homes and crafting tables, and delivering goods to a boat for trades.
