NASA's Cosmic Origins program will hold sessions at the 247th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society, to be held 4–8 January 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Phoenix Convention Center. The Cosmic Origins Program Analysis Group (COPAG) session will feature a decadal survey panel discussion with the community and overviews of current science interest groups (SIGs), science and technology interest groups (STIGs), and science analysis groups (SAGs).

The joint meeting of the program analysis groups for Physics of the Cosmos, Cosmic Origins and Exoplanet Exploration will include updates from the Habitable Worlds Observatory and Time Domain and Multi‑Messenger Astrophysics SIGs, the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning STIG, and a discussion with Shawn Domagal‑Goldman and the PAG Executive Committee chairs.

On Sunday, 4 January, COPAG is scheduled 9:00am–2:00pm in room 226B and the Joint PAG 2:30pm–6:00pm in room 301D; the decadal survey panel discussion lists Kristen Garofali, Erika Hamden, Jim Oschmann and Meg Urry among its participants. Other scheduled events include a NASA update and community inputs for space mission concepts on Monday, an Active Galactic Nuclei SIG on Tuesday, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Cosmic Pathfinders and Infrared STIG sessions on Wednesday.
