NASA delays ROSES‑25 D.5 Astrophysics Pioneers due dates
NASA's ROSES‑25 Amendment 38 delays the due dates for the D.5 Astrophysics Pioneers solicitation and makes three small changes to Section 5.3 of the announcement.
The D.5 Astrophysics Pioneers element solicits proposals for astrophysics space and sub‑orbital science investigations that are greater in cost, scope, and capability than possible within the Astrophysics Research and Analysis suborbital and CubeSat program but are smaller in cost than what is possible within the Astrophysics Explorers Mission of Opportunity program. Investigations may use platforms that include CubeSats (including constellations), other SmallSats, and major balloon missions. Technology development and maturation within the proposed project is allowed, but the primary review criterion for selection is the merit of the proposed science investigation.
Under the amendment, Mandatory Notices of Intent are now due February 11, 2026, and full proposals are due April 2, 2026. The amendment will be posted on or about January 14, 2026, on the NASA research opportunity homepage (https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2025) and will appear on SARA's ROSES blog.
