NASA says Earth Science Senior Review will finish with May 2026 report
NASA's Earth Science Division (ESD) will conduct a Senior Review in 2026 and deliver a final report in May 2026, the agency said in its frequently asked questions for the 2026 Senior Review.
According to NASA, the timing is compliant with the 2023 NASA Authorization Act requirement for triennial reviews: with the last Senior Review held in 2023, ESD needs to conduct a Senior Review in 2026.
NASA said the revised schedule will provide preliminary results to ESD in April, with final results in May, and that this timing aligns with the 2028 budget formulation process.
For the April panel meeting, mission team members may participate remotely; NASA said it will arrange audio and/or Webex access subject to the same restrictions that apply to observers and mission teams attending in person.
NASA's FAQ invites additional questions and asks stakeholders to submit a question if they have more or feel their question was not answered.
