NASA Glenn Faculty Fellowships: 2026 Summer Projects
The NASA Glenn Faculty Fellowship Program is a 10-week residential research opportunity for full-time STEM faculty who are U.S. citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents, Permanent Resident Aliens, or Green Card holders teaching at accredited U.S. colleges and universities.
Awards support one summer residency (June to August) at Glenn Research Center, with projects aligned to Glenn Areas of Expertise and cross-cutting engineering disciplines. Participants engage in research with NASA experts, enrich classroom instruction with mission-related content, and contribute to in-house research and technology goals in support of NASA’s mission.
Project 1 targets development of lightweight polymeric aerogels with fire-retardant properties for high-oxygen “exploration atmosphere” environments.
