NASA to return SpaceX Crew-11 early amid medical concern for crew member
NASA announced Thursday that it will return the agency’s SpaceX Crew-11 mission to Earth earlier than originally planned as teams monitor a medical concern with a crew member living and working aboard the International Space Station.
The agency said it is reviewing Crew-11 return dates and is working with SpaceX and international partners to review options to advance launch opportunities for the Crew-12 mission. NASA said it anticipates a decision on a target Crew-11 return date in the coming days.
For full details, NASA pointed viewers to a replay of the news conference from the agency’s headquarters in Washington. Participants in the news conference included: NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman; Amit Kshatriya, associate administrator; and Dr. James Polk, chief health and medical officer, NASA Headquarters. NASA said it will provide additional details later and advised readers to follow the space station blog for more information on station activities.
