Natalie Palamides, the LA clown whose show Weer ran at New York’s Cherry Lane theatre until shortly before Christmas, will bring the piece to Soho Theatre Walthamstow in London from 14 to 24 January. Weer, which premiered in Edinburgh in 2024 and builds on Palamides’s earlier work Nate, has the performer playing both halves of a romantic‑comedy couple — one side as Mark, the other as Christina — across a three‑year relationship that is staged in flashback from a car accident.

The show requires lengthy nightly makeup and significant physical endurance: “It takes a lot of physical endurance to make it through the show,” she says. Palamides’s rise has followed unconventional early shows — including Laid and Nate — and a high‑profile New York run that drew celebrity attendees.

“Drew Barrymore came, Kevin Bacon came,” she said, also naming Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, Nathan Fielder and Neil Patrick Harris. She has been invited by the Clintons to tutor them in physical comedy for their TV series, has a voice role in The Powerpuff Girls, directed The Amazing Banana Brothers, is developing a cabaret called Lady Magic for a Las Vegas residency, and is plotting a screen version of Weer.

Despite wanting downtime after the marathon run — she said she was laid low with flu — Palamides is already planning a new, deliberately provocative solo project for the Netflix Is a Joke festival in May. “This next idea… is not palatable.
