NBA on NBC Revisits the 1990s for Spurs–76ers Throwback
The 2025-2026 NBA season marks the first time in more than two decades that NBA on NBC has broadcast weekly games. For Coast to Coast Tuesday on March 3, NBC Sports will present a throwback broadcast of the San Antonio Spurs at the Philadelphia 76ers that leans heavily on 1990s presentation and personnel.
Coast to Coast Tuesday is a double-header. It begins at 7 p.m. ET with NBA Showtime, live on NBC and Peacock, then continues at 8 p.m. ET with the Spurs–76ers throwback. The night finishes on the West Coast at 11 p.m. ET with the Phoenix Suns at the Kings in Sacramento.
NBC Sports will use the graphics package it would have used in the 1995-1996 season, recreating the look of a mid-1990s broadcast. Bob Costas, Doug Collins and Mike Fratello will call the game from the booth, with Jim Gray on the sidelines, and Hannah Storm, Isiah Thomas and P.J. Carlesimo appearing in the NBA Showtime studio before the game.
The throwback broadcast airs March 3, live on NBC and Peacock.
