NBC's Friday Night Lineup: What to Watch Tonight, March 20, 2026

Friday marks the first day of spring, and NBC’s March 20 schedule serves up sitcoms, true crime and late-night entertainment for the start of the weekend. At 8 p.m. ET, Happy’s Place returns with an all-new Season 2 episode, “A New Chapter.” The sitcom stars Reba McEntire, her real-life fiancé Rex Linn, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Tokala Black Elk and Pablo Castelblanco, and Friday’s installment features Jane Lynch as Gabby’s mother, Val.

Pamela Fryman said, “We’ve seen her do so much in so many wonderful shows, but she does something so specific as this character that is so hilarious and grounded and ridiculous,” and Castelblanco added, “Jane Lynch was just iconic.
