NCIS has remained a steady presence on television for decades, and its newest offshoot, NCIS: Sydney, has quietly become a reliable performer. CBS has renewed the series for Season 4 well ahead of the Season 3 finale, a clear vote of confidence in the international spin-off.

Conceived as the franchise’s first international series and originally aimed at Australian audiences on Paramount+, Sydney was moved into CBS’ schedule when the dual writers and actors strikes left gaps in the network’s fall lineup in 2023. It now airs at 10 PM on Tuesdays after the flagship and NCIS: Origins, marking the first time three NCIS shows have been aligned on the same night.

The show follows American agents Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) and DeShawn Jackson (Sean Sagar) as they team with the Australian Federal Police to investigate naval crimes.
