Neighbors reported internet outage before Nancy Guthrie vanished
Neighbors in Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson community said they experienced an internet outage just before the 84-year-old matriarch disappeared. One neighbor told NewsNation that his Ring camera footage from the night between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 is “not available,” and FBI investigators have questioned residents about an “internet service disruption” on Feb.
1 as they probe a possible link to her disappearance. Authorities have also examined surveillance footage from Guthrie’s own Nest camera and raised questions about an item seen in a suspect’s pocket that could be a signal jammer. Journalist Brian Entin demonstrated on X how close the Ring cameras that went offline are to Guthrie’s house, noting the roof can be seen when he zooms in.
Investigators released footage of a masked man described as of average build and about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, who carried a backpack believed to be the Ozark Trail brand and appeared to wear black gloves. Guthrie was reported missing Feb.
