Neon One enhances nonprofit support with AI, boosts growth
Neon One, founded in 2018, provides relationship-management software that helps nonprofits manage fundraising, donor relationships, events, volunteers, members, and donations. CEO Keith Reed joined last year with a mandate to return the company to a growth trajectory and improve the client experience.
At the start of 2025 customer support was a major liability, with negative reviews appearing online. The company trained employees to make decisions in the moment and embedded an AI tool into its support program to handle the many “how do I” questions that were taking hours to resolve.
AI indexes data quickly and now allows Neon One to solve many customer problems in about 60 seconds, freeing staff to focus on complex issues that require empathy and judgment. Customer satisfaction scores have risen nearly 25% over the past year to almost 85%, and customers are staying longer, referring others, and sharing stories about the platform’s impact — happy customers are your best marketing.
