Exit 8 is a theatrical adaptation of the 2023 video game from Kotake Create, directed by Genki Kawamura and starring Kazunari Ninomiya as The Lost Man. The film follows an ordinary commuter whose routine trip becomes a life-or-death struggle; searching for the titular door, he must follow a set of rules and face a series of deadly hurdles.

NEON will distribute Exit 8 in the United States, marking the indie studio's first video game adaptation after a promising run in Japan late last summer. Written by Genki Kawamura and Kentaro Hirase, the film runs 95 minutes and reaches U.S. theaters on April 10, 2026. The supporting cast includes Yamato Kochi, Nana Komatsu, Kotone Hanase and Naru Asanuma.

An exclusive image captures the film’s atmosphere: The Lost Man appears mortified, eyes bulging, while a little boy stands calmly against a tiled subway wall that seems to be dripping with blood. With recent hits like Anora and Longlegs on its slate, NEON is handling the U.S. release.
