Netflix Brings 2023's Forgotten Dracula Movie Back From the Dead

Netflix has brought back The Last Voyage of the Demeter, the 2023 Dracula adaptation directed by André Øvredal. Øvredal’s version focuses on a rich and bloody chapter from Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, "The Captain’s Log."

Data from Flix Patrol shows the film has entered Netflix's Top 10 charts in several European countries, including Ireland and the United Kingdom.

The movie was a modest theatrical performer, earning just over $21 million and receiving a dim critical reception, though it still holds a 73% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Narrated by Liam Cunningham’s Captain Eliot, the story follows the crew of the merchant ship Demeter as mysterious disappearances reveal a monstrous stowaway.
