Netflix confirms Delicious in Dungeon season 2 is in active production

Collider reports that Netflix has confirmed the previously announced second season of Delicious in Dungeon is in active production. The update came from the series’ official X account, which reassured viewers that work is underway and asked for patience before further announcements; the post did not include a release window.

The confirmation follows an exceptionally well-received first season. Adapted from Ryoko Kui’s manga and animated by Studio Trigger, the 24-episode debut blended dungeon-crawling stakes with meticulous culinary world-building, expanding the series’ reach beyond its manga readership and earning near-universal praise from critics and audiences.

In October 2025, Crunchyroll added the manga to its new Crunchyroll Manga service, not the anime, leaving the animated adaptation as a Netflix exclusive. Season 2 had already been confirmed at that time, and Netflix’s active-production update moves the project one step closer; the franchise is also expanding into other formats, including a localized board game set for release in 2026. Delicious in Dungeon is available to stream on Netflix.
