Netflix Denies Matt Damon's Claim About Repeating Plot Points

Netflix executives rejected Matt Damon’s assertion that the streamer mandates repeating plot points to help viewers who lose track of a film. Netflix film chief Dan Lin said, "There is no such principle." He added that they laughed at the Oscars sketch imagining those rules and that, "if you watch our movies or TV shows, we don’t repeat our plot." Damon raised the issue on The Joe Rogan Experience, describing a shift toward early set pieces and saying, "Can we get a big one in the first five minutes?
