Netflix Fans Give Up on Unjustly Cancelled 7-Part Western Thrill Ride

Netflix has cancelled The Abandons, a seven-part Western thriller that starred Lena Headey alongside Gillian Anderson and Nick Robinson. The series followed a diverse group of families who must push back against a system competing for coveted land.

On Rotten Tomatoes the show earned 30% from critics and 51% from audiences. Many viewers feel the series was misunderstood and could have gained firmer footing with additional seasons.

The Abandons has exited every top-10 streaming list worldwide, and Netflix’s decision to axe the show last month led some people to stop watching if it wasn’t going to continue.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s most popular show is Unfamiliar and the most popular movie is The Rip, with Twisters also finding streaming success. All seven episodes of The Abandons’ first and only season remain available on Netflix.
