Netflix to stream Harlan Coben's 'Run Away' and Bridgerton Season 4 in January
Netflix’s January lineup includes an eight-episode Harlan Coben adaptation, Run Away, and the return of Bridgerton with Season 4, Part 1, along with a slate of other new series and films arriving throughout the month. Run Away, which starts streaming Jan. 1, was adapted by Danny Brocklehurst from Coben’s 2019 novel and stars James Nesbitt as Simon Greene; Minnie Driver plays his wife Ingrid and Ellie de Lange plays their missing daughter, Paige.
The story follows Simon as he becomes the prime suspect after Paige disappears and a drug dealer turns up dead, and he teams up with a private investigator played by Ruth Jones. The New York Times describes the series as having a complex, unpredictable plot driven by lies and hidden truths.
Other headline titles include His & Hers, streaming Jan. 8, a twisty Alice Feeney adaptation starring Tessa Thompson as an Atlanta news anchor who returns to report a murder in her Georgia hometown, with Jon Bernthal as Detective Jack Harper; Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, streaming Jan.
15, which features Mia McKenna-Bruce as amateur sleuth Bundle alongside Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman; and The Rip, streaming Jan. 16, a Miami-set crime drama co-produced and co-starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, written and directed by Joe Carnahan and featuring a supporting cast that includes Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Steven Yeun, Scott Adkins and Kyle Chandler.
