Netflix releases trailer for Stranger Things series finale
Netflix has released a trailer for the series finale of Stranger Things, which airs tomorrow.
The clip runs about 1 minute 30 seconds but contains roughly 30 seconds of new footage, with much of the remainder drawn from emotional moments in earlier seasons.
A voiceover features Jim Hopper telling Eleven he needs her to fight one last time. New images briefly show Vecna hooked to the ceiling in a cavernous other-world, an explosion at what appears to be a military site, and several out-of-context flashes of the core group.
One stark moment shows Hopper moving through a smoke-filled room, gun drawn, as something that looks like Vecna appears behind him. Eleven is also shown climbing back into the sensory-deprivation tank in the Upside Down.
The trailer’s only continuous scene finds much of the gang standing atop a radio tower as Vecna's world approaches close enough to graze the tower’s tip. Dustin utters "mother of God" as the group's risky plan from Chapter Seven appears to begin.
After nine years and five seasons, the story of Hawkins reaches its conclusion. The episode premieres at 8PM ET (5PM PT). Netflix will follow the finale with a Stranger Things animated series in 2026.
