Netflix's military sci-fi action thriller War Machine, led by Alan Ritchson, has dominated the platform's charts since its March 6 debut. The film shot to first position on Netflix three days after premiering and remained at the top of the global charts as of March 9, also leading the U.S.

rankings ahead of recent hits like Jurassic World Rebirth, Nuremberg and Trap House. The cast includes Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Keiynan Lonsdale and Daniel Webber. Ritchson stars as a man known only by his training number, 81, who is haunted by his past while trying to join the Army Rangers; during a final exercise he and his fellow recruits are attacked by a mysterious alien war machine and must survive a global threat with no live rounds between them.

Written and directed by Patrick Hughes, the film's ending leaves the door open for more installments. Speaking with Screen Rant, Ritchson said, "War Machines is going to be sick.
