New community space for Cosmic Pathfinders program — NASA Science

Over the past two years the NASA Cosmic Pathfinders Program has grown into a platform for early-career professional development, attracting participants and supporters both domestic and abroad. The program is moving to a new community space on Discord to expand access to resources while keeping its core objectives.

The new server offers a streamlined flow and added features, including a co-working “study hall” channel, automated updates from all 18 science interest groups across COPAG, PHYSPAG, and EXOPAG, and an Astronomy Picture of the Day channel. Individual interest-group channels will be updated automatically whenever a new event is posted.

Everyone is invited to join, from students and researchers to professionals, tenured faculty, and seasoned emeritus legends. The space is designed to foster direct engagement between early-career members and mid- to later-career professionals, and a three-step onboarding process helps new members identify who is who.
