New 'Malcolm in the Middle' Revival Trailer Released
A new trailer has arrived for Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, offering glimpses of the limited-run revival that brings Frankie Muniz back to the role that launched him.
When the original series debuted, family sitcoms felt like they had exhausted every premise and single-camera comedies such as Arrested Development and The Office had not yet premiered. Fox’s frequent timeslot changes also kept the show from finding a steady foothold, but the rise of home video and streaming helped it build a devoted audience and led to this return.
Bryan Cranston, who went on to develop the intense Walter White on Breaking Bad, returns here to embrace a sillier side. Frankie Muniz reunites with Jane Kaczmarek, Justin Berfield, and Christopher Masterson as they reprise their original roles.
The only major recasting is Dewey, now played by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, as original actor Erik Per Sullivan has largely stepped away from acting.
