New Metal Gear Solid collection omits Metal Gear Online

During last week's PlayStation State of Play, a new Metal Gear Solid collection was announced that includes Metal Gear Solid 4 and the PS3 HD version of Peace Walker. It’s welcome news for anyone who has been waiting for PC ports of those games.

It doesn't, however, include Metal Gear Online — the multiplayer spinoff that came bundled with MGS4 back in the day.

The game's website makes this explicit in a footnote: "Master Collection Version of the Patriots does not include METAL GEAR ONLINE."
