New Trailer Released for 97%-Rated Horror Obsession

A new trailer has arrived for Obsession, the directorial debut of YouTube skit creator Curry Baker, which Focus Features will distribute in theaters on May 15, 2026. Baker, known for viral videos like Milk & Serial, moves into feature filmmaking with a horror-comedy that leans on the warning, "You Wished for This." The film stars Michael Johnston as Bear, alongside Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter.

It centers on the mystical "One Wish Willow": after Bear breaks it to win his crush's heart, he gets exactly what he asked for and soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price. Since a wish is nonreturnable, Bear must find a way to save himself and his crush from the terrifying curse he unleashed.

The first trailer revealed the film's 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes after screenings at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2025, Fantastic Fest 2025 and Sitges Film Festival 2025.
