Next Tottenham manager — ranked candidates to replace Thomas Frank
Tottenham Hotspur have relieved Thomas Frank of his duties after a 2-1 home defeat by Newcastle extended their Premier League winless run to eight matches and left the club 16th in the table. Assistant John Heitinga is expected to take charge on an interim basis, while Ryan Mason has also been linked with a temporary return after leaving West Bromwich Albion.
The club faces a wide-ranging search for a permanent successor. Cesc Fàbregas has attracted attention after Como reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals and sit sixth in Serie A, though his former Chelsea and Arsenal ties and the expectation that he will move to a bigger club make his arrival at Spurs unlikely.
Gareth Southgate remains a respected option but has said he is in no rush to return to management since leaving England after Euro 2024.
