Nick Apostolides, Leon Kennedy's voice actor, grew up a Resident Evil superfan
Nick Apostolides says he became a die-hard Resident Evil fan in 1998, after sneaking off to a friend’s house to play the sequel his mother wouldn’t allow. That childhood obsession eventually led him from small horror films and a Hunger Games fan project to the motion-capture and voice work he pursued starting around 2015.
He remembers a moment when a conversation with a woman working in games made the path click: hearing about motion capture, stunts and yelling “GRENADE!” sparked the notion that video games could be a career. The very first audition he landed was for the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake, and he told casting, “I know everything about this franchise!” Capcom cast him as Leon, and he took to the role immediately.
Apostolides has since voiced Leon in the Resident Evil 4 remake and Resident Evil Requiem, a role that brought both pressure and praise.
