Nicolas Cage’s turn as Spider-Man Noir has become one of his most recognizable roles, first appearing in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and briefly returning in 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. He’s attached to headline a live-action Spider-Man Noir series at Prime Video, set in 1930s New York and following a down-on-his-luck investigator who happens to be the city’s only superhero.

All episodes of the show have been set for release on May 27. Fans were surprised when the first images of Cage as Spider-Noir surfaced and when it was revealed he would play Ben Reilly, since his animated version was an alternate Peter Parker. Prime Video has built an ensemble opposite Cage, including Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson as Silvermane and Jack Huston as Flint Marlo.

Empire Magazine published a new image and an interview with showrunner Oren Uziel, who said: “Same character, different universe. It’s a different flavor of that character, though it’s still Nic’s voice.
