Nicole Kidman told Jimmy Fallon she “can do an autopsy,” saying on The Tonight Show that she “can remove all the organs” and “I can name them all.” When Fallon asked if she was a method actress, she replied simply, “Yes, I am.” Kidman said she picked up the skill while preparing to play forensic pathologist Dr.

Kay Scarpetta, explaining that she “worked with an incredible medical examiner, and I studied him.” She joked that Fallon had asked if she was “willing” to perform an autopsy on his show — a request he denied — and added, “Unless I misunderstood. Maybe it was on a dummy or something.” She said she can remove the lungs, liver, gallbladder and intestines.

The series Scarpetta, adapted from Patricia Cornwell’s books, stars Kidman — who is also an executive producer — alongside Simon Baker, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, Jake Cannavale, Rosy McEwen, Amanda Righetti and Hunter Parrish.
