Nigel Barker says he has not spoken with Tyra Banks since the Netflix documentary that examines America’s Next Top Model. The film covers controversies from body shaming to a “race swapping” photoshoot and features interviews with Banks, Barker, Miss J. Alexander, Jay Manuel and former contestants.

When asked if he had been in touch with Banks after the doc, Barker gave a curt “no.” He added he is “still in touch with over 25 girls from the show” and suggested it might be time to “put [the long-running show] to bed.” Barker appeared on the series from 2004 to 2011 alongside Banks, Miss J.

Alexander and Jay Manuel. While chatter has swirled about a possible reboot, Barker said he “hasn't decided I would do that or not,” noting he and his team are being approached and “talking about multiple other ventures within the fashion space.” He made the remarks at an event for his The Barker Company Espresso Martini held at the Bowtie Bar at the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel, where he had a party for National Espresso Martini Month.
