Nightdive has re-announced its Sin remaster, Sin Reloaded, and released an announcement trailer on YouTube. The project was un‑announced three years ago and currently has no firm release date beyond 2026.

Nightdive’s remastering approach aims to preserve and enhance the original look rather than simply slapping awkward 4K textures on late‑’90s models. The studio’s work tends to make games resemble how players remember them, not how they would look if they were brand new; based on the trailer, Sin looks very nice.

Memories of 1998’s Sin include being flown into a mission on a helicopter, manning the door gun against rooftop enemies and blowing apart parts of the level—maybe even a bank heist, although the writer was six at the time. The writer also notes that while they’re not usually drawn to sprite‑based boomer shooters, this era of 3D FPS still scratches a precise spot of nostalgia, and there’s anticipation of once again shooting up billboards from a helicopter.
