Nintendo has issued a fresh round of DMCAs targeting several major Switch emulators, continuing its efforts to curb emulation of the console.

Two years ago the company sued the first Switch emulator, Yuzu; that case concluded with the emulator's creator paying a $2.4 million settlement.

A few months after the Yuzu settlement, Ryujinx went offline after Nintendo apparently "offered an agreement to stop working on the project."

Those earlier outcomes were seen as a warning for the future of Switch emulation, and the latest DMCAs suggest that concern has now been borne out.
