Noah Wyle offers upbeat Season 3 update for The Pitt

The Pitt has been on the air for just over a year and already become one of television’s biggest shows. When it premiered, it was a gamble for HBO, which had never before released a medical drama, but the backing of star Noah Wyle and a revolutionary one‑shift model helped the series break out.

Season 2 returned almost exactly a year after Season 1, and the show was renewed for a third season just days before Season 2 premiered. After a recent awards night, Noah Wyle said the writers are about to reconvene for Season 3. “The first thing we do every season is take a lot of meetings with experts on every vector of healthcare we can think of and ask them what should be on TV?
