North West, 12, debuts new manicure with spikes and piercings

North West shared Instagram Stories showing long, transparent aqua blue nails with a layer of glitter and metal piercings through each nail, including her thumbs. Silver studs and spikes decorated the set, while pink Japanese letters on her two middle left fingers seemingly spelled "North-chan," a nod to her father’s 2024 track "Bomb" with Ty Dolla $ign.

A close-up clip emphasized the spikes, studs and pink lettering. In a video, North credited nail technicians Noehmi Saldana and Akemi Santiago for the look; she notably rapped a verse in Japanese on the track. The manicure follows earlier polarizing choices — a nose-bridge accessory, blackened teeth and a massive diamond pendant shown in January — and comes amid criticism over fake tattoos, teeth grills and hair color.
