OG Baldur's Gate games patched and available in $23 CRPG bundle
Beamdog has put out a surprise 2.7 beta patch for its enhanced Infinity Engine collection, 14 years after the original release. The update brings Apple Silicon support for Mac players, adds extra languages and a few other tweaks, and suggests the studio may keep tinkering with these classics.
That timing makes this a nice moment to dive into an ongoing RPG Humble Bundle that includes Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 Enhanced Editions alongside a stack of well-regarded CRPGs. The package also features Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous, Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, Neverwinter Nights 1 Enhanced, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale and MythForce.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 remain touchstones of the genre, carrying players from the earliest levels to clashes with interplanar foes. Planescape: Torment is praised for its narrative focus and lasting influence, while several other titles in the bundle have devoted followings; MythForce, by contrast, holds a Mixed review score on Steam.
