Olivia Dean wins four Brits including artist, song and album of the year
Olivia Dean was the big winner at the 2026 Brit awards, collecting artist of the year, pop act, song of the year for her Sam Fender duet Rein Me In, and album of the year for The Art of Loving. Her second album has pushed her to the forefront of British pop, blending bossa nova, trip-hop, neo-soul and jazz and winning her a broad, cross-generational audience.
She also took home a Grammy this year for best new artist. Accepting the album prize, Dean said: “This album is just about love, and loving each other in a world that feels loveless right now.” Dean won in every Brit category in which she was nominated, and in the song of the year she beat a second nomination for her solo track Man I Need.
Rein Me In began as a Sam Fender solo on his album People Watching before being re-released with a new verse from Dean; the duet is now at the top of the UK singles chart. Fender, who won the alternative/rock award, and Dean were the only multiple winners at the ceremony, held for the first time in Manchester at the Co-op Live arena.
