On-Together turns a cosy island into a partnered productivity tool — out now on Steam
PC Gamer writer Mollie says On-Together is the first focus-tool videogame she’s used that truly understands the importance of partnered-up productivity. The social productivity title is out now on Steam.
The game blends a pomodoro timer, journal, task planner and to-do list with a surprisingly packed island to explore, non-work activities, pastel charm and chibi characters with extensive customization.
Players communicate work intentions through selectable focus-task animations — for example, pulling out a broom to signal cleaning or sitting at a digital keyboard to indicate writing — and small cues like putting headphones on to show they’re in a meeting.
Public lobbies can feel wholesome and MMO-like, with open-air classrooms, chalkboard encouragements, hydration checks, floating pomodoro timers above players’ heads and occasional brief chats before everyone gets back to work. Break activities include shooting hoops, fishing, a mini band and a dome with a D&D setup.
Mollie says On-Together has been an excellent way to redirect long-standing unproductive habits and recommends it for anyone who wants a virtual third space to study or work alongside friends and strangers — you can check it out on Steam.
