The action thriller "One Battle After Another" and the Netflix miniseries "Adolescence" each won four awards at the 83rd Golden Globes on Sunday, including top prizes in their respective film and television categories.

"One Battle After Another" was the most awarded film, taking the comedy prize as well as awards for its director, screenplay and an actor. Netflix led in television and animation: "Adolescence" won best limited series plus three acting prizes, and "KPop Demon Hunters" won for animated film. The original film "Sinners" won two awards, for best original score and for box office and cinematic achievement.

Many winners were tied to Warner Bros. Discovery; the studio took home nine Golden Globes, the most of any company. The studio is at the center of a high‑stakes bidding war — Netflix has proposed an $83 billion acquisition and Paramount has launched a hostile takeover bid — developments the article said have left Hollywood anxious that a new owner might abandon theatrical debuts or cut jobs.

Other notable winners included Wagner Moura for best actor in a drama for "The Secret Agent" (the first Brazilian man to win in the category), first-time Globe winners Timothée Chalamet, Rose Byrne, Rhea Seehorn and Jessie Buckley, Jean Smart for her third Globe for "Hacks," and Noah Wyle for "The Pitt." The Globes also awarded, for the first time, a prize for best podcast to "Good Hang with Amy Poehler."
