Businessinsider reported that OpenAI published a blog post on Friday pushing back against Elon Musk's lawsuit, saying he wanted full control of the AI startup and discussed giving AGI to his children.

The blog, titled "The truth Elon left out," included commentary alongside excerpts from recent court filings and said the filings "cherry-pick" evidence. Musk is suing OpenAI leaders including CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman, alleging the company misled him by shifting away from its nonprofit roots; Musk said he donated $38 million when OpenAI was a nonprofit. The startup completed its transition to a for-profit public benefit corporation in October 2025, and last Tuesday more than 100 documents related to the suit were unsealed.

Among the unsealed materials were diary entries from Brockman, which the blog highlighted and a judge cited in a ruling that found Musk had enough evidence to take the case to trial. Musk has been posting excerpts from the documents on his social platform X, and the parties are preparing for a high-stakes jury trial in April.
